The main objectives of this research were to identify student’s attitudes about school counseling and the type of attitudes which is common in students towards school counseling. Six students participated in this research and they were selected using a convenience sampling method. A qualitative survey design was used as the research design and semi-structured interviews were also conducted. Data analysis was undertaken using thematic analysis. Although the results showed that the students have both negative and positive attitudes towards school counseling, students have more negative attitudes than positive attitudes, and gender influenced in forming their attitudes. Further, students from different categories of schools have different attitudes about school counseling. These attitudes are formed due to factors such as lack of professionalism in counseling teachers, lack of resources, lack of practical knowledge, and lack of student’s awareness about school counseling. It is recommended that students’ awareness about school counseling should be enhanced and all facilities must be provided to develop school counseling. Thereby, it would be possible to change the attitudes of students about school counseling positively.

The main objective of this study is to analyse the technical efficiency and its determinants of pineapple production at Madhupur upazila of Tangail district in Bangladesh. Cross-section data from a sample of 100 pineapple producers during the 2016-17 cropping season were collected by applying multistage random sampling technique. Farm specific technical efficiency scores were estimated using the Cobb-Douglas stochastic frontier production function approach. Empirical findings show that the estimated technical efficiencies of the sampled farmers’ range from 61.61% to 99.95% with the mean technical efficiency of 91.14%. The result suggests that, on an average, farmers in the study area can potentially increase their productivity by 8.86% through more efficient use of inputs. The estimated stochastic production frontier model indicates that input variables such as area, tillage cost, seedling cost and human labour cost were statistically significant variables to increase the quantity of pineapple production. Technical inefficiency effect model identifies that age of farmers had significant positive, but years of schooling and extension contact had significant negative effect on farmers’ inefficiency. The study therefore recommends that government should focus on the ways of attracting and encouraging the youths as they are more efficient and are likely to be able to properly allocate resources and are willing to adopt new technical innovations. Besides, policies and strategies should be directed towards increasing farmers’ formal as well as informal education through the implementation of effective training programmes by the well-trained extension workers.

Homecoming in Indonesia has become national traditions. One of transportation for homecoming is a motorcycle. Homecoming by motorcycle has many limitations and raises quite a high risk, as well as an appeal not to go home on a motorcycle from the government, but many still go home on a motorcycle. This study aims to find out what dissonances appear in the travelers who ride motorcycles, and how the travelers' behavioral, normative and control beliefs in dealing with this dissonance.

This research uses qualitative case study methods and data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, with analysis using Theory of Cognitive Dissonance and The Theory of Planned Behavior. Research activities on homecoming are included in the single case category, which researchers carry out on homecoming activities during the Eid al-Fitr homecoming moment in 2019 instead of May-June 2019, with research 18 informants.

The results showed that found cognitive dissonance conditions in the homecoming activities they live. This Dissonance is indicated from the finding that there is denial of one element which is then followed by or following other elements. This research also reveals the effort to eliminate dissonance using 3 (three) elements of The Theory of Planned Behavior, namely Behavioral belief, control belief, and normative belief, which are in line with the methods used by TCD in eliminating dissonance. This research also reveals elements of behavioral belief to overcome cognitive dissonance.

This study was designed to examine the role of social media as a tool in the library for social integration. Social integration is the process during which newcomers or minorities are incorporated into the social structure of the host society. Social integration, together with economic integration and identity integration are three main dimensions of newcomers' experiences in the society that is receiving them. Social Media’s presence is almost everywhere and the vision of the library within the last few years has been that library services should go to users not necessarily that users should come physically to the library. Social Media is expected to be a veritable tool in achieving this purpose. The study revealed that; privacy concern, low levels of technology penetration, network problem, lack of awareness, lack of funds etc. as the major challenge librarians encounter in the use of social media for promoting library and information services and enhancing social integration. It also concluded thatthe integration of the society via social media technology into library services is more than a management strategy; it is a tool that can be deployed to transform library services and bring cutting edge services to users in the face of dwindling budgets. And the finally this paper recommends that Libraries should design their services in such a way that they will fully employ the sharing capacity of social media tools towards provision and dissemination of their services to users, as this capacity is still currently underutilized and that Libraries should formulate a viable Social Media Policy to guide the full integration of social media tools to the provision of library services in public libraries so as to facilitate social integration.
